All services providers must have tax identification number (TIN) updated in your profile by the 1st of January 2026.
This is because Recommend.my will be e-invoice compliant by the 1st of January 2026 and we will require your TIN number to disburse payment to you. If you don’t provide TIN, we are not able to disburse money to your account.
TIN number is a compulsory detail to be updated in your profile from 1st of January 2026. If you don’t update it, you may not be able to accept job requests on the platform.
Please visit https://mytax.hasil.gov.my/ to get your TIN registration number.
Input your TIN into your Recommend.my Business Profile
After you have obtained your TIN, you need to put it into your business profile.
Visit your business profile and click “Edit Business Profile”. See example below:
Go to “Documents & Credential” tab (item 1), and enter your TIN (item 2) as well as other details, such as SSM number and expiry date (applicable for businesses), and click “Save”
