Derreck is the owner of Hoven Mobile Cleaning. They have been in business for thirty years, when his father started it in 1986.
With so much experience, they’ve cleaned everything, from maggots bursting out of sofas, to blood stains that have been there too long.
In the mid 2010s, to capture the growth from online customers, they joined Recommend.my.
“I’ve been doing this for over a decade,” said Derreck. “We clean all sorts – sofas, carpets, car seats. My father started Hoven way back in 1986, so I’m the second generation in the business.”
“My aim is to eventually franchise the business and build bigger teams. Right now, I’m really focused on getting more sales, and Recommend.my has definitely been a big help with that!”

A good chunk of their business now comes directly from Recommend.my. So much so that they had to nearly triple their team size just to keep up with the demand.
His advice for success: “You need to be persistent and never give up. It’s going to be a long and tough journey. Don’t get angry or frustrated when customers complain. Instead, see it as a chance to learn and improve.”
